The book I read was the Divine One. This book was be Lynne Ewing and the Date of Publication was in 2007. The Divine One is a book of two hundred and fifty seven pages. This book has five main characters in it. The characters names are Sudi, Meri, Dalila, Apep,and Abdel. Sudi, Meri, and Dalila are the Sisters of Isis destined to save the world from evil ancient egyptian forces. Abdel is thier teacher who guides them on thier fight and teaches them the ancient ways. Apep is a giant snake that is trying to bring chaos into the world.
This is my second paragraph. In the story the girls meet a new threatning character Apep. He is an ancient egyptian God that wants to get rid of the Sisters of Isis. What happens is their teacher Abdel leaves them in their time of need!The more time the girls spend time finding a solution, the more powerful Apep gets. Without a leader, a spell, or a solution the girls didn't have a lot of hope. Even though they were in trouble they found an incantation. Their plan wasn't very stable, butg to go into Apep's lair and defeat him with the ancient incantation. Overall Meri, Sudi, and Dalila defeated the ancient Egyptian God. Who knows what will throw them off in the third book Enchantress.
This is a story about three girls who defeat ancient evil and attempt to save the world from ancient evil. This is a great book of adventure, fantasy, love, and friendship. I love that each of the girls can relate to other people. Each of the girls have a different family and perspective of things. Delila is more of a wild child and Meri isn't a risk taker. Sudi is spontaneous but, not too spontaneous. Each of the girls have their own taste and styles. The girls are three friends who are always there for each other whenever anything is wrong. This book was amazing and a great read. If you have read the Daughters of the Moon you will enjoy this series!
