The book I read for my book report is Charlie Bone and the Invisible Boy, by Jenny Nimmo. This book has 408 pages. The date of publication is 2004 of October. The first main character is Charlie Bone. Charlie Bone is endowed with the power of hearing pictures. He can also travel through the pictures to meet the people in them. The next main character is Ollie Sparks. Ollie's ancestors can sparkle stones in one hand but Ollie can't sparkle stones. Then there's Uncle Paton. He is an uncle to Charlie Bone and helps Charlie with his problems. Then Yolanda Yewbeam who is a 100-year-old woman is a shape shifter. Yolanda has taken shape of a 13-year-old girl named Belle.
In this book at Bloors Academy a kid named Billy Raven found out (by spying on Yolanda) that Yolanda was a old woman and Yolanda tries to stop the 12 endowed children save the invisible Boy named Ollie sparks. An endowed girl named Emma gets Ollie out of the academy by putting a finger puppet of a spider on his toe because they will think itÕs a spider and then took him to the Boa that made him invisible made him visible again. Then Charlie Found out he was half Endowed and half a wizard. Then Charlie was given a wand by a great wizard named Skarpo. Only Charlie knows how to make this wand work and what words to say to make this wand work. Charlie and his Uncle Paton goes and kills the evil Yolanda and burns Yolanda's nephewÕs house down. Then the 12 endowed children get taken to a castle named the sparkling castle. Ollie sparks as a visible boy takes them to the sparkling castle.
I love this book because its not like a harry potter book but its better because they us powers and magic. If you are a boy and love fantasy or magic/power novels then this book is for you. If you are a girl and like action mixed with magic and sorcery than this book you will love. For example Charlie is part Endowed and part wizard. There are also 12 endowed children with several mind powers and hypnotism and other exotic powers and spells. There are also many adventures in these book like for instance they save Ollie sparks and kill Yolanda and burn her nephewÕs house down. ThatÕs all about the third Charlie bone book.
