Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card/The Battle of the Universe!!

The name of this science/fantasy book is called Ender's Game. It is by Orson Scott Card. This book was published in the month of February of the year 2002, and it has three hundred and twenty four pages. In this book the most important character out of the whole entire book is: Ender.

Ender's game is about the struggles and challenges of a young boy who goes off into space to attend a school called: Battle School. There he is faced to many challenges such as choosing between enemies and friends, and of the upcoming pressure of the buggers coming. The buggers are the upcoming threat to Earth and life itself, that is why Ender is being trained to lead the bugger wars, to make sure humanity stays intact. Down on earth Valentine is coping with her own pressure such as the threat of Peter and his wanting for power and control, and whether or not she wants to be part of his take over for power. Later when Ender has succeeded in being a great leader of Battle School he is once again torn away from what he loves, friends, and is sent to the planet Eros to finish the final training of Battle School, there he meets a man named Mazer Rackham, he becomes his new teacher of training him how to defeat the buggers, control a fleet of star ships, and learn how to work together in a team against the seemingly impossible. Mazer then programs a game that helps Ender learn how to defeat the buggers, included with a fleet of star ships, and in that fleet was the friends he had met and worked with at his time at Battle School. After vigorous training with the game, Mazer Rackham decides to give him the final test, in that final test him and his friends seemed to be face with the impossible amount of enemies in the game, and after a risky try and quick, clever thinking, Ender wins the final battle of the game. What Ender doesn't understand is that there was stern, hard-eyed men to watch him during his final battle exam, but now they were jumping around with joy. Why were they jumping around, and this was a game right? WRONG!! Mazer Rackham explained to him that the game was the war, and he had won it.

What I love about this book is the idea of adventure/traveling, and the whole concept of space travel. I think other people would like this book because it's filled with adventure, and action. For example Ender is constantly having a battle, or conflict with someone else, so some people would maybe like the drama involved with the book. Since there is A LOT of drama involved with this book. I would recommend this book to people ages ten and up, and who also like video games because this book revolves around space games. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves to read.
