The name of the books I read was Q•ko-chan 1 & 2. The author of this book series is Ueda Hajime. The first book was first published in Japan 2003 and the seconed book was published Japan 2004 by Del Rey Manga. The main characters of Q•ko-chan are Kirio Muji, Furiko Muji, and Major Muji, and Q•ko-chan. Kirio is a young, observant boy, Furiko's step brother, Major Muji's son, Q•ko-chan's rider. Furiko is a genectically alien girl, shy, Kurio's fake alien sister, Major Muji's fake daughter, and rider of Aa•ko Sama. Major Muji is the major of the local air force, Kirio's mother, and Furiko's adoptive mother. Q•ko-chan is a robot girl, Eldest of the Nine Sisters, and Kirio's robot.
While at school an air raid happens and Kirio finds a girl by his home and keeps her inside his house. Kirio finds out the girl is named Q•ko-chan, a robot, and lets Kirio be her rider. Kirio's mom is the owner of three robots and doesn't know that Kirio has a robot that's hers. New dolls appears and Kirio's classmates are their riders. With Kirio and his classmates they fight against the air force and jellyfish robots. Q•ko-chan likes Kirio and the other dolls forbid her to like him so Q•ko-chan doesn't let Kirio board her anymore. The queen doll, Aa•ko Sama, comes and Furiko becomes Aa•ko Sama's rider. Since Kirio and Furiko hate each other. They fight with their robots. Q•ko-chan gets shot by the air force. Then Aa•ko sama calls all the dolls to retreat to space and Q•ko-chan stays.
I really enjoy the Q•ko-chan series and I thought it was very interesting. My most favorite part would have to be when Q•ko-chan and Kirio destroy a jellyfish robot. I think other people around the age 12 to 15 would enjoy Bleach, Death Note, and Furi Kuri/FLCL. I think this was a great manga series because it had a great storyline and plot. I also thought the series was amazing because I enjoy reading graphic novels and this is one of the best so far. The characters also played perfect roles. The book series itself was interesting and suprising. Ueda Hajime is a great anime artist and is good at writing graphic novels. I recommend people to read FLCl the most because it's a hit in Japan and and another manga by Ueda Hajime.
