Warriors: Into the Wild

Warriors: Into the Wild is a very exciting book written by Erin Hunter. The book was published on January 21, 2003 by HarperCollins. The four main characters in Warriors: Into the Wild are Rusty, Graypaw, SpottedLeaf, and YellowFang. Rusty is a kittypet, human pet, and dreams of adventuring into the forest. Graypaw is a ThunderClan warrior in training and Rusty's new best friend. SpottedLeaf is a ThunderClan medicine cat that Rusty falls is love with. Finally YellowFang is a warrior that proves herself during a battle with the ShadowClan.

The ForestClan have no enemies in the forest except for the rival clans that fight with each other to get hunting grounds. The rival clans battle to run each other out of a their own homes. During a battle between the ThunderClan and the ShadowClan for a place called Sunningrocks, the ThunderClan deputy is killed. Firepaw, a ThunderClan apprentice, learns that the deputy was not killed by the ShadowClan, but was killed by Tigerclaw, a fellow clan member who was later appointed as deputy. Instead of telling everyone he must keep the secret to himself because he doesn't have any evidence. Later TigerClaw "helps" RavenPaw escape from the forest, although TigerClaw only helps RavenPaw escape because RavenPaw is suspected of knowing TigerClaw's secret.

I think that Warriors: Into the Wild is a great book for all ages. I enjoyed the on-going action in this book, and found the book easy to follow. I think that others my age will enjoy the action in this book. Many people like to read adventurous books that never get boring, like this one. In this particular story, there is always something going on like training, a battle, or a death. This story kept my attention because of all of the action detailed throughout and it made me feel like I was actually there, especially during the battles.
