the story I read was Eragon by christoper Paolini. The story was publised in 2003 and is 497 pages long. The main character is Eragon, a 17 year old boy who is stubborn at first,but becomes more mature during his journey he takes.saphira is a dragon, who is very wise and protective of her dragon rider, Eragon. Brom is an old man with a short-temper who trains Eragon to become a master dragon rider and to fight against the evil shade,Durza. Murtagh is a young man who is skilled with any weapon and is known to have a very bad temper. Arya is an elf that is very powerful yet kind hearted. she willbe extremly helpfull to Eragon in the future.
Eragon is a 17 year old boy who was hunting in the forest when he found a dragon egg. at frist Eragon did not know what he has found, until a tiny dragon hatches from it. The evil Galbatorix found out tjat Eragon had one of the last dragon eggs in the empire. He ordered a shade named Durza to hunt Eragon down. Durza kills Eragon's family. Later Eragon and Saphira meet up with Brom and together they flee from the village to avoid being captured.After many months Eragon, Brom, and Saphira were captured by Durza.While being captured, Brom was stabbed and died.In his sadness, Eragon had a stange dream. He dreamed he was to rescue an elf named Arya at the Gilead prison. Eragon meet up with a man named Murtagh, and together they rescued Arya and went to Farthe Dur. Farthen Dur is a great under ground city that lies beneath a dormant volcano.Farthen Dur is where the rebels called The Varden have their base.Here Eragon and Saphira feel safe for the first time. Soon though, Durza found out where they were hiding and gathered a army to attack. A battel raged for hours. Then Eragon and Durza meet in a death match. Eragon won with the help of Saphira and Arya, and the Varden was safe.
Eragon is one of the best stories ever to be written on the face of the Earth. this story has action, adventure, and romance, everything a teenager wants to read. In the story you have a scene where a battle is rageing one moment and later, a scene when Eragon asks the one he loves if she loves him back. There is also a mystery that slithers through the pages like a snake. Once you read the first paragraph of this book I guarantee you will not be able to put it down.
