The name of this book is called Abner and Me. The main characters are Joe Stoshack, Terry Stoshack, and Abner Doubleday. Joe is a boy with special powers that enables him through time with baseball cards. Terry is Joe's mom who is a timid woman who travels back in time to the civil war with Joe. Abner Doubleday is a war general who Joe thinks invneted baseball, but Joe finds out how terrible he was at it and knew that he didn't invent baseball. These characters played major roles in the story.

This is an exciting book with lots of action and adventure. Joe is a very adventerous boy who loves baseball and is one of the best if not the best player on his baseball team. He loves traveling through time and has done it on numerous occasions. Terry is Joe's mom who goes on a trip back to Gettysburg and learns how exciting and nerve racking time travel is. They go back home after going to Gettysburg and try to save Abraham Lincoln, however they failed.

This book will give you thrills and chills and is loaded with tons of action. There are lots of twists and turns. You think Abner invented baseball, but it says he didn't. Joe's mom was never an adventerous woman. However the trip to Gettysburg completly changed her. I'd rate this book a nine out of ten because I felt it was great only it left out a bit.
