Fire Star

The book that I chose for my third trimester book report is Fire Star. The author of this book is Chris D'lacey. The publication of this book was in 2005. The number of pages in this book is 548 pages. One of the most important character in the book is Zanna, a girl who lives in a house with all different kinds of dragons until she goes to Chamberlain where she comes in contact with a bear named Invagar who nearly killed her. Another character is David. David finds himself in the icy climes of Chamberlain. He begins to write his legend of dragons, bears, and the mysterious fire star. Another important character is Lucy who also lives with Zanna and she finds herself to have an amazing life story behind her.

In this book a research trip to the Artic and a contract for a new book, life can't get much better for David Rain. But as soon as david finds himself in the icy Climes of the Artic, David begins to write his legend of the things he sees. His sightings include bears, dragons and the mysterious fire star. Soon he relizes that his tale is beginning to copy real life, and that an old enemy is on her way to meet David. But as Zanna comes in contact with nearly a thousand pound bear, her whole life is changed. She begins to look back on her whole life as she is being attaced by a bear and soon relizes she is not in the rite life. And as the fire star is comming, signaling a time of new beginnings. A time for all dragons to rise once again.

This book is a book every dragon and magic lover schould read! This book is a little complicated for seventh graders but if you are really interested in it, like I was. What you'll read in Fire Star is a tale like no other. It tells about all different dragons and their special powers and how they can talk and fly around throught out the house. But also while you are reading this book you'll get mixed up into another story but at the end everything ties together. But, like I said before you have to be really interested in the book to read it because this book is like a high school level. So, if you love dragons and magic this is the perfect book for you!

This book will make you want to be a magical dragon!!!!!!:) Scholastics To get more books like Fire Star go to scholastics.com
