Charlie and his mom went to save Billy and they were sucessful.
In the end, Charlie and his mom go to the DeGrays house and saved Billy. Charlie and his mom were lucky because the DeGrays weren't home so the did not have to fight the them, all they had to do was break in and get Billy. You need to read the book to find out what happens to Billy and Charlie.
