The name of the book is Ark Angel by Anthony Horowitz. The publication date is 2006 and the numbers of pages in it are 326. The three most important characters are Alex Rider who is a 14-year-old boy that works for the British spying agency called M16, another young boy name Paul Drevin that is the son of one of the richest men on earth, and Nikolai Drevin is one of the richest men on earth who has spent billions on a new idea of building the worlds first space hotel called The Ark Angel.
In the beginning Alex nearly gets killed by a sniper and is sent to a hospital where he meets Paul. They become slight friends, then one night a group of eco-terrorists come to kidnapped Paul but Alex knows he has to stop them so he tricks them and makes them think that he is Paul, but Alex made a mistake. Finally the terrorist captured him and held him captive but Alex escapes, since Alex saved NikolaiÕs son Nikolai invites Alex to Flamingo Bay to watch his shuttle launch carrying a piece of equipment to Ark Angel. When Alex gets there heÕs having a blast until Nikolai tryÕs to kill him, so Alex escapes and get American CIA agents to help him. When they storm the beach it is too late Nikolai launches his rocket to Ark Angel which earlier they found out was carrying a bomb to explode Ark Angel, the angle of the explosion should push Ark Angel into EarthÕs atmosphere and should crash into Washington DC, its main target is the pentagon and the shock wave should destroy much of the city. So they send Alex up in another space ship to Ark Angel, when he got there he was vomiting in zero gravity because his stomach couldnÕt handle it. He final defuses the bomb and returns to earth where he learned that Nikolai died in a plane crash during his escape.
I thought that this book was really exciting and addicting, exciting parts of the book are when he escapes from so many dangers and while u read this book it is really easy to picture it in your mind. ItÕs also interesting because this book actually explains what happens. I really recommend this book to all my friends; they might find it really good.
