The book that I read was called Twice Upon A Time: Sleeping Beauty (the one who took the really long nap). The author of this book was Wendy Mass. This novel was published in November 22,2006. This book contains a total of 172 pages. One of the main characters in this book is Princess Rose. Princess Rose is a girl who has been cursed by an evil fairy. the curse is that if she touches anything pointy and at the first drop of blood she will die. Another main character in this novel is Prince. Prince is a guy that doesn't have a name. He just goes by Prince. Prince's mother is an ogre. On the second and fourth Thursday of the month she thirsts for human blood. So she will eat anyone on those days.
When Princess Rose cursed of staying away from pointy items or dying, she had never gotten the chance to see anything pointy. one day she came upon a sewing machine and accidentally poked herself and slumbered for 100 years. Since Prince's mother was an ogre, Prince often ran out into the woods. One day when the Prince was in the woods he spotted a castle behind the trees. When he finally got in the castle he realized that it was the exact same castle as his. He saw the Princess and suddenly remembered that all the fantasy stories that he had heard of about the Princess were true. He immediately kissed her and woke her up. He told her that her parents had died since it was 100 yeas later. Princess Rose had told the Prince that their worlds had to unite, in order for her to be free. The rest is to be read!
This novel is truly fantastic! It has suspense, slight romance, and is funny. This book is great for all ages, but will suit the ages of 8-13 the most. Twice Upon A Time is a book for girls more than it is for boys. There is another Twice Upon A Time about Rapunzel. This book is the type of a book where it gets to a point where you never want to let go of it. It is phenomenal! There are some parts where it gets comedic, and some parts that shock you. I would overall say that this book is great and I give it a 10 on a scale from 1-10.
