Pre-K through third grades attend Science Lab once a month.  Fifth through eighth grades attend Science Lab once a week. 

 Pre-K:

Kindergarten:

• Make skeletons using Q-Tips.

• Cover the magic of bubbles.

First Grade:

• Make a model comet using dry ice.

• Cover the properties of matter.

 Second Grade:

• Learn about constellations.

• Learn how to classify animals.

Third Grade:

• Discuss the properties of light.

• Cover how shadows are formed. 

Fourth Grade:

• Study animal biomes and the food web.

• Owl pellet dissection.

Fifth Grade:

• Dissect lamb hearts and study the human body.

• Cover the phases of the moon.

Sixth Grade:

• Learn about vision and dissect sheep eyes.

• Learn about volcanoes, earthquakes, and hurricanes.

 Seventh Grade:

• Extract DNA from peas and learn about genetics.

• Discuss and compare parts of various cells.

Eighth Grade:

• Cover the differences between chemical and physical changes.

• Cover the Periodic Table of Elements.
