Our Technology & Computer programs at Holy
Rosary continue to grow and expand. Many thanks to the Holy
Rosary's annual
On Course Fore Education Golf Tournament,
which has provided almost $190,000 over the last six years
for improvements to technology for our school.
iMac computers are available in all
classrooms beginning in Kindergarten and continuing through
8th Grade. Our 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Grades utilize two
iBook "carts" which house 44 iBooks for student use. In
addition to this we also provide 19 iMac computers in our
Media
Center. Most classrooms include a projector and
wireless connection to the Internet.
We offer structured weekly technology
lessons for Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd Grade during
"center or media center time” in the classrooms or Media Center.
4th through 8th Grades complete weekly or
bi-weekly technology lessons during Language Arts time in
the Media Center and classrooms, using both iMacs and iBooks. All grades also incorporate technology into class
projects and assignments throughout the school curriculum.
Keyboarding lessons are an additional part
of the curriculum for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, before and
after school.
