Lilia Hamade is excited to begin her third year at Holy Rosary School teaching Spanish to the entire student population. Lilia enjoys teaching language through storytelling, singing songs of praise, sharing Bible stories, and by utilizing online games and resources. Lilia has a B.A. in Psychology from UC Berkeley, a CBEST, and masters level coursework from San Francisco State University in Broadcasting and Electronic Communication Arts. Lilia began teaching in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1997, where she worked for a year as a Long Term Substitute Teacher, primarily in elementary schools, and in high schools as well. Lilia has worked with children and families throughout her career, mainly as an adoptions social worker for the County of San Diego. Lilia is currently working on earning her Designated Subjects Teaching Credential via UC Berkeley Extension. Outside of school, Lilia spends time with her children and family, enjoys listening to 80’s music, is a lifelong fan of Duran Duran, and an animal lover.
